Hepatitis C Testing
We go out into the community, offer and support many of our friends through the process.
We provide access to transportation and using our connections in the community to make this a successful venture for all involved.
We also have a working relationship with:
Windsor Essex Community Health Centre (weCHC) – Street Health
Who come to our community and can offer on-site testing and treatment for Hep C.
Our dual pronged approach has made an impact in the number of people we can reach and support.
Our long-term plans are to have the Hep C Testing as a internally-led program and will be offered as an outreach and an in-house option.
As Chatham-Kent has one of the highest Hep C rates in all of Ontario we find this to be crucial, alongside the offering of Harm Reduction, to try and identify, treat, and lower the rate of spread throughout our community.
